Allen delighted for 'fat' striker Alsop

The 36-year-old, plucked from non-League obscurity with Bishops Cleeve in the summer, buried an unstoppable header past Andy Warrington to convert an inch-perfect centre from teenage substitute Theo Lewis.

"I think he'll end up getting 10 league goals, which will be a wonderful achievement for someone so fat," said Allen.

"He was average in this game and will have to play better, but when he's on it, we are double dangerous.

"He may have been right at the bottom of my wish-list, but the place erupted when he scored, and it was glorious, it was magical, it was a fairytale."
