Wolves offered Bertrand on loan

Wolves have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand on loan for the season.[LNB] Mick McCarthy wants to bolster competition for the left-back slot, with George Elokobi and Stephen Ward the only options following the departure of Jelle van Damme from Molineux.[LNB]The two clubs have done business before, with England Under-21 captain Michael Mancienne having spent successful loan spells with Wolves, and with Bertrand no way near dislodging Ashley Cole at Stamford Bridge, he is likely to jump at the offer of regular first-team football.[LNB]No stranger to loan spells, Bertrand started his career at Gillingham with Matt Jarvis and has played 146 League games in seven spells at five clubs since turning pro at Chelsea.
