Willian transfer to Chelsea ready for the summer

Chelsea look set to complete the transfer of Shakhtar Donetsk striker Willian once the summer transfer opens according to reports coming out of Brazil.

Both the Metro and the BBC are reporting that although the Blues had a £16million bid knocked back during the January transfer window but have returned with a new and improved offer, and a deal is apparently close to being agreed.

The information on the Chelsea situation was leaked by Santos chairman Luis Alvaro, after the Brazilian club had their request to take the 23-year-old on loan rejected.‘We gave up because of a proposal that they received from Chelsea,’ he told Jornal da Manha.
