Sky Sports News is reporting that Tottenham Hotspur's target Willian Borges da Silva has decided that Chelsea is a better destination.
Willian seems to have been in London for an age, having been reported at the start of the week as having (and passed) a medical at Spurs. Much consternation and speculation followed, as rumours abounded that maybe the medical had been failed, as Spurs failed to announce the signing. The fact that he has passed, and still not put pen to paper, and now Jose Mourinho is indicating via a nod that he has chosen Chelsea over Spurs will rile André Villas-Boas no end, as he seeks to build a team to challenge his London rivals for the title.
Willan is expected to cost somewhere in the region of £30million, and Mourinho says he would be a purchase to go alongside the signing of Wayne Rooney, rather than a replacement signing, indicating again that he is not admitting defeat in signing the England and Manchester United forward just yet.
