Will Demba Ba Be Successful At Chelsea?

With Demba Ba's move to Chelsea this week, a lot is expected of the Senegalese forward. The Blues activated his release clause to bolster their attacking options, adding much needed quality and quantity to a forward line who can only boast one senior forward.
However, will Demba Ba follow the trend of recent strikers at Stamford Bridge?
Fernando Torres and Andriy Shevchenko are the two main strikers people link with Chelsea Football Club as 'big money flops'. The two cost Chelsea a combined total of £80.8million to bring to Stamford Bridge, and together have amassed a total of 37 goals for The Blues.
Both strikers were free-scoring, lethal centre forwards before there move to Stamford Bridge, and questions will be asked if Demba Ba will be any different than his predecessors.
Now, Demba Ba cost a mere £7million, for a man with undoubted goal-scoring ability. The former Newcastle and West Ham forward has scored 13 goals in the Premier League this season, so he is joining Chelsea in a rich run of form.
Unfortunately Demba Ba can't be labelled 'the next Didier Drogba', that will be Romelu Lukaku. But for £7million, its as close as you could possibly get.
Drogba was the go to man for Chelsea, he often came up with the goods and his sheer size, strength and power allowed his team mates to play fruitfully off him. Since the Ivorian has left, Chelsea seem to lack an alternative option to Fernando Torres, if 'Plan A' isnt working, where do they turn to?
Demba Ba may not have a similar price tag to past and current Chelsea strikers, but is he joining a club where he is arguably, [for the time being] the heir to Didier Drogba?
At 27 years old Demba Ba should be coming up to the form of his life. A step up in class to Chelsea from Newcastle will no doubt further increase his goal-scoring exploits, playing infront of the midfield of Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, Oscar and Victor Moses.
