Wilkins ready to take charge after Ancelotti returns to Italy in father visit

Carlo Ancelotti hopes to be back in London for Chelsea's home game with Blackburn after spending Friday in Italy with his sick father, Giuseppe. If the 86-year-old is too ill for Ancelotti to return, Ray Wilkins will take charge of the team. Wilkins said: 'I am sincerely hoping that Carlo will be back for the game. His father is not in the best of condition. 'We are keeping our fingers crossed that he will be back. Carlo will decide who plays.'
