Ray Wilkins praised Chelsea for 'pulling together' in the FA Cup victory over Watford at Vicarage Road.[LNB] A turbulent week for the Blues threatened to get worse when Tamas Priskin opened the scoring for Watford midway through the second half.[LNB]Chelsea had been frustrated until that point but responded strongly and made it through to the quarter finals thanks to a Nicolas Anelka hat-trick.[LNB]Wilkins had been in charge of team affairs following the sacking of Luiz Felipe Scolari, with new manager Guus Hiddink watching from the stands.[LNB]Wilkins said: "You need a bit of luck sometimes in football and we didn't have that tonight, but when we went behind, we upped our tempo and looked a very good side indeed. Nicolas was great for his three goals as well.[LNB]"It has been a tough week so it was vital that we all pulled together. We have a great collectiveness here despite what people have said.[LNB]"We have been the whipping boys recently, but the players, the board, the staff, we are all together.[LNB]"You need to have some guts and stick together when you go behind and we showed plenty of that today."[LNB]Didier Drogba was impressive up front alongside Anelka and Wilikins believes the two men can work effectively together.[LNB]He said: "I thought Nicolas did some good stuff on the wing. He gave me that option of playing on wide right and he played well when he came inside when I changed the tactics a bit.[LNB]"I have said it all along that they can play together."[LNB]Rodgers prideWatford manager Brendan Rodgers admitted he was sad to see his side lose after going ahead, but insisted he could not have asked for anything more from his players.[LNB]He said: "We have given a world-class squad a fantastic game. We were excellent tonight. With 20 minutes to go, we were 1-0 up and looking comfortable.[LNB]"I couldn't have asked for any more from my team.[LNB]"When we went 1-0 up I thought we looked reasonably confident. The boys have worked really hard and they were really disciplined today.[LNB]"I was trying to get the attention of the referee before we conceded to try and get a sub on but his ear-piece wasn't working so that was a bit disappointing but that's how things go.[LNB]"It was a great ball in for the first goal and Jobi (McAnuff) could have equalised for us at the end as well."[LNB]
