Wenger - Dual role impossible

Arsene Wenger does not expect Guus Hiddink to encounter any problems until the end of the season but he was warned the Dutchman that combining two roles on a permanent basis cannot be done.[LNB] Hiddink has agreed to become Chelsea manager on a short-term deal following the sacking of Luiz Felipe Scolari last week.[LNB]He will also stay on as Russia coach, meaning that during the next international break he will leave Stanford Bridge to take charge of the World Cup qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Liechtenstein.[LNB]Wenger believes Hiddink is capable of performing his duties with both Chelsea and Russia, although he would be surprised if the arrangement lasts beyond the summer. [LNB]"It is impossible to take on a club and country role permanently but in the short term he can do it," the Arsenal boss said in The Guardian.[LNB]"Russia have only two minor games to deal with in the international break but long term it's not realistic.[LNB]"It's a special situation with Hiddink because of his close connections with (Roman) Abramovich.[LNB]"I rate Guus highly but you know with Chelsea what to expect - one super manager to leave and another to come in."[LNB]
