Wembley's nothing compared to Facebook frenzy, admits Gosling

Dan Gosling sensed his dramatic extra-time winner against Liverpool might enhance his popularity among Evertonians, but there was still nothing to prepare him for the reaction when he switched on his computer the following day. Hitting the net was one thing, but surfing it proved quite another as he tried to access his Facebook account and found it swamped with requests to be included on his list of friends. Everton's unassuming 19-year-old midfielder revealed how his social networking days came to an abrupt halt after he finally settled an FA Cup fourth-round marathon with their derby rivals by firing a 118th-minute replay winner at Goodison Park. 'I'm still pinching myself about that,' he said, ahead of Saturday's Wembley final against Chelsea.
