We need our very own Didier Drogba, admits Arsenal skipper Fabregas

Cesc Fabregas believes Arsenal are lacking a target man in the mould of Didier Drogba.   [LNB]The 22-year-old Gunners captain pointed to the lack of penetration his side had in the 3-0 Carling Cup defeat to Manchester City last week as more evidence of the need to increase their attacking options, particularly after Robin van Persie was ruled out for five months with torn ankle ligaments.   [LNB]He told The Guardian: 'Throughout the game (against City) we had a lot of possession but didn't really have anyone to go in behind the defenders, apart from Carlos Vela.[LNB] Leading the line: Fabregas (left) is a fan of the way Drogba terrorises defenders[LNB]'We had a lot of similar players who like the ball into their feet. Sometimes it's true that you need a different kind of option.[LNB]'Perhaps we had the same kind of problem against Chelsea as the boys hadat Manchester City, not really having someone whose game is to gobeyond defenders, and we were a little small to fight against them oncrosses, too.'[LNB]Fabregas argued that a striker with the power and pace of Drogba could lift a team out of the ordinary.   [LNB]Recalling his side's 3-0 defeat to Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on November 29, he said: 'Overall, I saw a Chelsea team that was normal but a team that has probably the best striker in the world.   [LNB]'An average team that has the best striker in the world can always do something and Didier Drogba makes all the difference.'[LNB] Jack Wilshere happy to be a loan star... but only in the Premier LeagueArsenal idol Adams in line for New York job... and he wants Thierry up frontArsenal boss Arsene Wenger ready to call on the kids for clash against Olympiakos Chelsea and United don't get as many injuries as Arsenal, says boss WengerPICTURE SPECIAL: Mistletoe and whine as miserable Arsenal players hold Christmas partyARSENAL FC
