[LNB]With Wayne Rooney's Manchester United career seemingly over, Sportsmail's columnists reveal where they think the wantaway star should go... [LNB]Jamie RedknappThere are three options because of the wages - Man City, Chelsea and Real Madrid. City are favourites because of the massive money they can come up with in January and there's something special building at Eastlands. I still think he should stay at United - it's the club that made him. It's his club, but that seems untenable now.[LNB] On his way: but Redknapp thinks Rooney should stay at Old Trafford [LNB]Martin Keown It might be better for him to go to Madrid and embrace the change of playing in a foreign country. It's not that he'll get more privacy there but as a United player you get booed across the country imagine what it'll be like if he moves to Man City or Chelsea. Jose Mourinho could be the perfect coach. He can handle him better than Sir Alex Ferguson.[LNB]An education: Townsend believes Rooney would benefit working alongside Messi and Co at Barca [LNB]Nasser HussainRooney has to go where he will be happiest and that means the whole package, not just the money. Not many people leave Old Trafford and go on to better things. He could earn £200,000 or £300,000 a week but he needs the right people around him and Fergie has always seemed to steer players in the right direction at United.[LNB]Graham Poll I'd like to see him join Man City. They have a group of young English players with whom he could develop a good understanding, which could benefit the national team. I have always dreamed of a mega-rich club buying the England squad to play in the Premier League week in, week out. That way we really could win the World Cup.[LNB]Andy Townsend It depends if he wants to develop as a player or develop his bank account. Barcelona is the ultimate destination for a player like Rooney. To work with Messi, Xavi and Iniesta and get an understanding of the way they control games and pass and move would be an education. It would benefit England, too, if he goes to Spain.[LNB]David Lloyd Accrington Stan ley are in for him and our people will speak to his people when they finish work! We have a wage structure which I'm not sure we can break but as an incentive we've offered him the chance to spend an hour in one of our Pound shops in town filling his boots! Also rather than an orange at half-time we can offer him a pie. [LNB]  Jose can't get the Real Wayne yet as Madrid rule out winter move for Rooney Is this the end for Brand Rooney?
