Tuncay Sanli admits he would like to remain in England when he leaves Middlesbrough. The Turkish star has impressed during his two years with Boro and with Stewart Downing injured, is likely to be the biggest departure from The Riverside this summer following their relegation. Liverpool and Chelsea have both been linked with the impressive 27-year-old - who admits he has had contact with a number of interested parties. "Football in England takes over your life and I was happy with how I played," he told Zaman. "There is contact with several teams, but I cannot say how much or when until any formal offers have been made. "There is interest from not just England, but Germany and Spain, but I want to play for another three years in England - like Tugay Kerimoglu did, he was very good in UK and has left his mark." He has also been linked with a return to Fenerbahce but insists he is not yet ready to move back to Istanbul. "I do not want to return to Turkey, I enjoy playing in England - but if I did return it would be for Fenerbahce," he said.
