After bringing in Yossi Benayoun for £6 million, Chelsea look set to continue their summer spending with three more major signings.
Apparently Carlo Ancelotti wants to reinvigorate his attacking options by bringing Liverpool striker Fernando Torres and Germany star Thomas Mueller to Stamford Bridge.
The Spaniard's agent has hinted that the former Atletico Madrid man is set to join another Premier League club, while the Bayern Munich youngster has won many admirers after a string of fine performances for club and country.
As well as strengthening up-front, the Blues are also in the market for another midfielder to replace the outgoing Michael Ballack.
Portuguese international Raul Meireles is Ancelotti's preferred option, having impressed at this summer's World Cup. He could cost in the region of £15m.

Despite being strongly linked with Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, it appears as though Arsenal could be set to follow Chelsea down the Portuguese route in their hunt for a new number one.
Sporting Braga star Eduardo, who started for his country in all of their World Cup games, apparently has a buy-out-clause of just £3.4m - a very appealing deal for money-conscious Arsene Wenger.

Although they've already snapped up David Silva, Jerome Boateng and Yaya Toure for a combined fee of £60m, it seems big-spending Manchester City might have finally found someone even they can't afford.
By all accounts Wolfsburg want £50m for long-time City target Edin Dzeko, leading Roberto Mancini to consider other players such as Mauro Balotelli, Edison Cavani and Karim Benzema.

Finally, new West Ham boss Avram Grant looks like continuing his own mini spending spree with deals for Lyon striker Frederic Piquionne, Mexican winger Pablo Barrera and Aston Villa's Steve Sidwell.
