Transfer latest from SW6

Who is on way out of Stamford Bridge?

While Jose Mourinho settles into the hot seat at Stamford Bridge, he and technical director Michael Emenalo strive to sculpt their squad for the coming season.

The Blues have already cleared their ranks of who they consider dead wood, Florent Malouda, Yossi Benayoun, Hilario and Ross Turnbull in particular.

The loss of the two goalkeepers is great news for some younger players such as goalkeeper Jamel Blackman who is to become back-up goalkeeper to Petr Cech.

But it's at the established senior professional area that will test the relationship between the Nigerian and the Portuguese.

Certainly reports linking Paris St-Germain to David Luiz, 26, whom it's claimed they want to to partner Thiago Silva in defence will prove to be most controversial.

Robert Lewandowski, 24, has been strongly linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund this summer and his currency is at an all-time high.

However if he was to come to Chelsea it would signal the end Fernando Torres.Mourinho has gone on record to say that he wishes to speak to Torres directly but not until Spain's participation at the Confederations Cup is at an end.

But time waits for no man, and if Lewandowski does come on the market, then the Blues might want to get involved before Mourinho has spoken to Torres.

That too would be problematic for Mourinho and a possible source of tension between new manager and club.

John Mikel Obi is reportedly in talks with Turkish giants Galatasaray about a move worth about £16m.It would be a good move for Mikel and a great deal for the Blues.

One man not chosen by Mourinho but who no doubt gets a seal of approval from is André Schürrle.

The Blues need extra firepower and it's hoped the now former Bayer 04 Leverkusen wide man will provide the ammunition for whoever becomes next season's number one striker.
