16 year old Luke Shaw has been linked with a £4million pound move from Southampton to Chelsea as well as Arsenal.
Southampton have big ambitions as Premier League new boys and are fighting to keep their star. Southampton seem to be learning from what many would see as the mistake of producing talented footballer's only to sell them on.
England and Arsenal midfielder's Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain both rose through the academy as did Welsh wonder boy Gareth Bale. Could this struggle to keep Luke Shaw be Southampton trying to cement their new position in the Premier League or just hold out for more money?
It has been reported by the Metro that Chelsea's £4 million pound bid has been rejected by Southampton. Luke Shaw has managed to gain all this attention from Chelsea, Arsenal and Both Manchester clubs and yet he has only made one seniour appearance for Southampton (vs Millwall in the FA Cup).
He's represented England at both Under-16 and Under-17 level.
Surely with this attention there must be great things to come from the 16 year old.
