Fernando Torres struck a hat-trick as rampant Chelsea hit woeful QPR with a 6-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

The Spaniard added to his clincher against Barcelona in the Champions League with three more smart finishes as Rangers' relegation worries increased.

Daniel Sturridge put Chelsea ahead against their arch-rivals inside a minute and John Terry went some way to easing the pain of his Nou Camp red card by heading a second, while substitute Florent Malouda got the sixth before Djibril Cisse's late consolation.
