But Mikel's tournament is over

Fernando Torres scored another goal for his country as Spain cruised through to the semi-final of the Confederations Cup against Nigeria tonight by winning 3-0.

After  notching up four against Tahiti, the hit man scod once again - he just can't stop  now can he?

The Chelsea striker came on as a substitute and put the Spanish side two nil up after Jordi Alba opened the scoring for the World and European Champions.

Alba notched up a second late on to book the favourites a semi-final berth against Italy on Wednesday.

The defeat for Nigeria spells the end of the tournament for Chelsea midfielder Mikel.

Brazil will face face Uruguay in the other semi-final.
