Fernando Torres shrugged off his latest goalless outing for Chelsea despite his drought extending to six matches.
Torres played the final quarter of Wednesday's Champions League last-16 second leg against FC Copenhagen after starting on the bench at Stamford Bridge. But, despite his team-mates appearing keen to tee him up for his first goal since his record-breaking £50million move from Liverpool, the Spaniard once again drew a blank.
Torres was forced to watch his team-mates squander a dozen gilt-edged chances before entering the fray, after which he had only one real opportunity to break his duck, saying: "It was a good game for us with a lot of chances."
"We didn't score but we created a lot, so we must be happy because we are in the quarter-final. The main thing is to get chances. You have to be worried when, at the end of the game, the team didn't create chances.
"So we can always create chances and it is not very often we will finish a game 0-0. We will score in almost every game."
Torres' introduction on Wednesday saw him partner Didier Drogba, who has now gone nine matches without finding the net. The pair have struggled to forge an understanding but Drogba was adamant they would click.
"I think we are mature enough and clever enough to play together," he said. "There's no question about this."
Defender Branislav Ivanovic also backed Torres to come good, saying: "Every striker wants to score because the goals give the confidence. But Fernando is showing on the pitch great movement. The goals will come for sure."
As well as refusing to panic about his lack of goals, Torres was relaxed about Friday's Champions League quarter-final draw.
He said: "At the end of the day, if you want to win the Champions League, if not in the quarter-final then the semi-final or the final, you will have to play against the best teams in Europe. So it doesn't matter who we have to play against."
