Liverpool fans will remember Fernando Torres from when he burst on the scene in 2007. He marked his first season at Anfield by being the quickest player, since Kop legend Robbie Fowler to score 20 goals in the league.

Torres also became Liverpools quickest player to score 50 goals for the club. He was sold to Chelsea FC for £50,000,000, ultimately becoming the highest paid British Transfer record.

Upon his departure to Chelsea, we are yet to see Torres regain the form that made him one of the top strikers of the world at Liverpool, yet his record of 65 goals from 102 appearnaces, just in the league, we can all expect many more great things from Fernando Torres.

It was the beginning of a dominant era for Spanish Football, who have now gone on to win 3 major tournaments, the first team to do so.
