Its been a while since he was considered a key member of the Chelsea team.
He has been nothing more then a bit-part player in recent seasons and needs to move on to a new challenge when his contract expires in the summer.
The Ivorian has loads of experience and would be a worthwhile signing for a number of Premier League clubs.
