Both sides have started the campaign emphatically. Chelsea have only dropped two points whilst Arsenal have finally sorted out there usual leaky defence.

Under the guidance of new assistant coach Steve Bould, Arsenal have finally gone back to basic and look as if they will have a very good season under the influence of Wenger.

However, the game between these two was the first real test for them both. Chelsea ran out 2-1 victors courtesy of there £50,000,000 stiker Fernando Torres. The Spaniard improvised on a Laurent Koscielny midsjudgement to volley the ball in the back of the net, past the improving Vito Mannone.

The goal was set up by another Spaniard – Juan Mata. His set piece delivery was on form against Arsenal. With both goals a result of Juan Mata's delivery, Chelsea won the game 2-1. Torres who has started the season in decent form for Chelsea.
