ShareSimon Jones is Sportsmail's man on the inside of all the major transfer moves this summer. [LNB]His column, published every weekday, offers an insight into the deals which will be done and those that won't - and why. [LNB]A 5/5-rating means The Insider reckons it's a done deal; 0/5 means The Insider has his mortgage on it not happening.[LNB]Don't miss your daily Insider instalment here.[LNB] ALEXIS SANCHEZUdinese to Manchester UnitedTHE INSIDER says: 3/5[LNB]JAVIER PASTOREPalermo to ChelseaTHE INSIDER says: 2/5[LNB] [LNB]Barcelona have been in the driving seat for the speedy Chile winger after Manchester City, who had made the initial running, dropped out. [LNB]Yet Barca, as discussed yesterday, have some crunch decisions to make on their budget. They have only ?40m to spend but can bump that up with swaps and sales of their B team players but that may still leave them short of the cash to sign Sanchez, Giuseppe Rossi and Cesc Fabregas. [LNB]Bojan Krkic is one player offered as a swap but he could also be used in the Fabregas deal and this hesitation has allowed  United to press ahead with their claim for the player. [LNB]Udinese want ?30m but United know a deal can be done at around ?25m and what better way for Sir Alex Ferguson to announce his summer rebuilding than pinching a player off Barca. [LNB]Don't rule out a late re-entry from Manchester City but United have a real chance of making this happen.[LNB]Chelsea have a long-held interest in the 21-year-old playmaker and he has given them every encouragement today by declaring his intent to leave while in Argentina. [LNB]AC Milan and Inter have also been linked with the Argentinia international and it will be a case of who can make the highest bid to prise him away. [LNB]Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini claimed he had rejected a ?44million offer from Chelsea for the gifted midfielder but has since denied that. However, he did not deny that Chelsea had made an enquiry. [LNB]At 21 and with such ability Pastore is recognised at Chelsea as a player with great potential and sell-on value even if it took ?30m to buy now. Roman Abramovich is keen but Guus Hiddink may prefer Wesley Sneijder instead. [LNB]Manchester City will be among the runners and riders also.[LNB]  JEROME BOATENGManchester City to Bayern MunichTHE INSIDER says: 4/5[LNB]DAVID NGOGLiverpool to SunderlandTHE INSIDER says: 3/5[LNB] [LNB] Manchester City have dug their heels in over Boateng as he was a player they had grand plans for. [LNB]His season has been blighted by injury and he has not been over enthused at playing right-back when he has been fit. They signed him for ?11m and City's technical director Mike Rigg has declared he was unsellable. [LNB]However, Bayern say they have been told a figure of ?17.5m might do the deal. That was seen as a deterrent in some quarters but Bayern are astute businessmen and it's no surprise that Boateng has now declared his intent to leave Eastlands and return to Germany. [LNB]The onus is on Bayern finding the money City want and they will be patient if necessary. City will not want an unhappy player in the camp as they look to unify the team ahead of the Champions League and a compromise is likely although maybe not until July.[LNB] The 22-year-old French striker is on holiday and will come back next week to hold further talks with Sunderland over a prospective move.[LNB] Liverpool mentioned him as a makeweight in the deal for Jordan Henderson but with the player needing more time to make up his mind they didn't want it to get in he way of the England U21 international's ?16m move. [LNB]Ngog has had interest from abroad back in his native France and Germany and that may still be where he prefers to move but he is not against a move to the North East. Sunderland believe he was impressed by the club and realises they still have strong ambitions, despite selling Darren Bent. [LNB]With Manchester United's Danny Welbeck also unsure of his future, with Everton interested, Ngog would be a useful addition at around ?5m. He struggled at Anfield but less expectation may help him develop in the Premier League. Stoke are also keen.
