Simon Jones is Sportsmail's man on the inside of all the major transfer moves this summer. [LNB]His column, published every weekday, offers an insight into the deals which will be done and those that won't - and why. [LNB]A 5/5-rating means The Insider reckons it's a done deal; 0/5 means The Insider has his mortgage on it not happening.[LNB]Don't miss your daily Insider instalment here.[LNB] BRYAN RUIZTwente to Tottenham THE INSIDER says: 3/5[LNB]CRAIG BELLAMY Manchester City to SunderlandTHE INSIDER says: 3/5[LNB] [LNB] [LNB]Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp was at Goodison Park on Friday night to witness Giuseppe Rossi score a fantastic free-kick for Villarreal against Everton. [LNB]The former Manchester United striker has long been Redknapp's number one choice to bring to White Hart Lane but it is a difficult and expensive deal for Redknapp to pull off. [LNB]Another target Fernando Llorente played well enough on Saturday against Tottenham but again he is not sure about a move to White Hart Lane if he is to leave Bilbao. So Redknapp has to look at alternatives. FC Twente forward Ruiz is a possibility but, despite contact from Tottenham intermediaries, a deal is far from done. [LNB]The Costa Rica international has a ?13.75million release clause in his contract and was a big target for Roy Hodgson while he was Liverpool manager. [LNB]The West Bromwich Albion boss still needs a striker but is more realistic in his approach for Shane Long at Reading. [LNB]Ruiz is big and versatile at 6ft 2ins tall and averages around a goal every two games. He is quick and good in the air. [LNB]FC Twente are also vulnerable to a good offer and Tottenham could certainly do worse than bring in the 25-year-old. [LNB]The Wales international made a bold statement last season that he would return to Cardiff City to finish the job of helping to take them into the Premier League. [LNB]That plan is still in his mind but could prove difficult for Cardiff to pull off in the current financial climate. [LNB]Celtic came calling but Bellamy has said he is not interested in a loan move elsewhere and wouldn't take a pay cut because he wants to continue funding his charity foundation project in Sierra Leone. [LNB]There are plenty of clubs interested in the fiery Welshman but they know the problem is first financial and then personal in terms of convincing Bellamy it is a worthwhile project. [LNB]He has his moments but that's because he is demanding of the people around him. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be better than others but some dressing rooms find that intensity hard to take. [LNB]Steve Bruce is willing to take that chance as he tries to change perceptions around Sunderland and wants to sort out a deal that could give Bellamy his last crack at the Premier League. [LNB]Bellamy won't solve the left-wing problem as Derry's James McClean will aid that but he can provide a central option alongside Connor Wickham and Asamoah Gyan - should he stay. [LNB]  JACK RODWELLEverton to Tottenham THE INSIDER says: 2/5[LNB]DIDIER DROGBA Chelsea to AC MilanTHE INSIDER says: 2/5[LNB] [LNB]At the start of last season Jack Rodwell's name was on the lips of most top scouts as they waited to see how he would develop in a promising Everton side. [LNB]Sadly, as Everton's form dipped so did Rodwell's. He suffered a series of niggling injuries which halted his progress and he struggled to rise to the expectations placed upon his young shoulders. [LNB]Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City were all serious in their admiration of the England Under 21 international but as the season progressed they began to question whether there was better value for money elsewhere in the market place. [LNB]Everton did not want to sell one of their rising stars but recognised that in difficult financial times for the club sacrifices had to be made and if a substantial offer came in then it would have to be considered for the future benefit of the club. [LNB]Rodwell's form, however, has meant that interest has been shelved or certainly at the price Everton would expect to attract and that looks like continuing until next summer.[LNB]Tottenham like Rodwell and see him as a player who could figure in midfield and be groomed for a central defensive role in the future. However, they only value him around ?9m and that's of little use to Everton at this stage.[LNB]AC Milan have drawn up a list of targets which should cross over the Premier League in some shape or form with Drogba, Emmanuel Adebayor and Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov all figuring. [LNB]The early favourite to go to Milan is Amauri from Juventus but vice-president Adriano Gallinai will try one more time for Drogba - a player they have long admired but thought they had little chance of landing. [LNB]They have a fascination with maturing players and do extremely well in prolonging their careers thanks to the medical and physical care they dedicate to the their squad. [LNB]The idea is to bring in an experienced striker to share the burden on Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the 33-year-old Drogba would be perfect. [LNB]The problem is Chelsea would still want a fee and Drogba is on around ?140,000 a week. [LNB]Andre Villas-Boas is also keen to keep Drogba for now with his contract running out next year and talks ongoing over a new one. [LNB]The Portuguese would prefer to offload Nicolas Anelka if he had the choice as he knows Drogba can rise to the challenge of leading Chelsea's frontline if Fernando Torres continues to falter. [LNB]Romelu Lukaku is his long-term replacement but Drogba is still needed for now - although he is yet to sign the contract extension.[LNB]Don't miss your daily instalment of The Insider every weekday through the transfer window here at MailOnline.  CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR FREE FANTASY FOOTBALL GAMEClub-by-club guide to all the Barclays Premier League summer transfersPREMIER LEAGUE NEW KIT SPECIAL: Strips your team will wear in 2011-12[LNB] [LNB]
