The biggest shock of the transfer window: Scott Sinclair leaves Chelsea in loan deal

Wigan have sealed a season-long deal for Chelsea winger Scott Sinclair. The 20-year-old has failed to make the breakthrough at Stamford Bridge and has instead racked up a series of loan moves. Yet, Wigan boss Roberto Martinez claims Sinclair can make a real impact at the DW Stadium. 'Scott is a fantastic talent who can operate either up front or out wide and I'm delighted to have him join us,' he said. 'He'll certainly bring a lot of competitiveness to the team and hopefully we can help him to continue progressing as a player.' Sinclair, who joined Chelsea from Bristol Rovers in 2005, has spent time with Plymouth, QPR, Charlton, Crystal Palace and Birmingham. Martinez is also expected to confirm the signings of Spanish defender Antonio Amaya and French midfielder Mohamed Diame. Both are expected to join from Rayo Vallencano in a deal worth £3.2million. Meanwhile, Nice have been linked with a £1.3m move for Wigan striker Olivier Kapo.
