Decision time: Capello must decide whether to stick with Terry as England skipper[LNB]The Football Association have confirmed that Fabio Capello alone will be responsible for any decision about John Terry's position within the England squad.  [LNB]Speculation about the Chelsea captain's future with his country has intensified since he failed with a High Court injunction to stop newspapers reporting claims about an alleged affair with lingerie model Vanessa Perroncel, a former girlfriend of Wayne Bridge. [LNB]Although there have been hints that Terry's status as captain and player within the England squad would be determined solely by Fabio Capello, the FA remained silent on the subject. [LNB]However, on Monday evening they released a statement confirming that is exactly what will happen. [LNB]'The FA confirm that England manager Fabio Capello alone will make the decision about John Terry's position,' said a statement.[LNB] England's next fixture is against Africa Cup of Nations winners Egypt on March 3 at Wembley. [LNB]It is known Capello wants the whole issue sorting out long before then to ensure preparations do not become crowded by the controversy which took on another dimension on Sunday when three Manchester City players wore 'Team Bridge' T-shirts in support of their team-mate, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury. [LNB]An FA spokesman said: 'Fabio is fully up to speed with developments regarding John Terry. [LNB]'He spoke with our chairman Lord Triesman and chief executive Ian Watmore today (Monday), who both backed him to make the best decision for England on footballing grounds.[LNB] Late show: Terry (right) tried his best to make the headlines for the right reasons with his headed winner against Burnley at the weekend[LNB] 'Fabio is dealing with the matter in his own way using his extensive experience as a football manager.' [LNB]Even for the 63-year-old Capello this will be a new experience that will test him fully.[LNB] Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti has already declared his intention to stick with Terry both as the cornerstone of his defence and the club's skipper. [LNB]However, many believe the England captaincy involves wider responsibilities that cannot be so easily dismissed in this instance. [LNB]Having now spoken to Triesman and Watmore, Capello will no doubt feel on more certain ground when he returns to official duties later this week in time for Sunday's Euro 2012 qualifying draw in Warsaw.[LNB] Old pals: Terry (left) and Bridge on England duty ahead of the last World Cup[LNB]Meanwhile, the model at the centre of claims surrounding Terry's alleged affair has been offered £250,000 to tell her side of the story.[LNB]Perroncel, the ex-partner of Terry's England and former Chelsea team-mate Bridge, is at the heart of a media bidding war.[LNB]Mr Clifford said he was in discussions with at least six media outlets all bidding for her take on the events. [LNB]A final decision on whether she will sell her story is yet to be made, but Mr Clifford said the bidding offers could rise beyond the £250,000 mark.[LNB]He said: 'The £250,000 offer is just the latest bid. I am in negotiations on her behalf.'[LNB]Ms Perroncel was at Mr Clifford's home on Monday, where she was being updated onthe latest media offers.[LNB]The publicist told Sky News: 'It's a story that everyone's talking about and it's a story that obviously all the papers and the television networks are very, very keen to get to the bottom of and find out what the truth is.'[LNB] Talks: Perroncel is being advised by Clifford over selling her story[LNB]Mr Clifford refused to be drawn on the veracity of the allegations but insisted some press claims were incorrect.[LNB]He said Ms Perroncel had first to consider the welfare of her four-year-old sonbefore she made a decision.[LNB]He told GMTV: 'Obviously, she's just overwhelmed by what has happened. She has never spoken to a single journalist and she's all over all the papers with all kinds of allegations, some of which she said were true and some of which she said aren't true.[LNB]'She basically said "What do I do? Journalists are knocking down my door, I've got people running round taking photos everywhere I go. I never sought this, I never asked for this, and I've never spoken to anybody".'[LNB]Asked whether there was any truth behind the alleged affair, he replied: 'All I'm prepared to say is that she's known John a long time and obviously I think during that time they've become very close friends but anything more than that, I wouldn't want to say at this particular stage.[LNB]'It's really for her to decide what she wants to do.'[LNB] John Terry backlash - City protest ups pressure on England captain to quitMartin Samuel: Captains lead by example... so John Terry must go now before he's pushed by Fabio CapelloJohn Terry made Wayne Bridge's girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel pregnant - and England captain then arranged for abortionHe's played away one time too many: John Terry's wife walks out with the kidsBurnley 1 Chelsea 2: Disgraced Terry keeps on scoring as Chelsea pull clearCity stars send message to John Terry with 'Team Bridge' shirts for Wayne England coach Fabio Capello urged to sack his shamed skipper John TerryCHELSEA FC
