    Terry set to boost Blues

    01 Feb 2007 - 16:10:18

Chelsea's inspirational captain John Terry is set to make his return from injury in the weekend clash with Charlton Athletic at The Valley.

The 26-year-old England skipper has been sidelined since mid-December by a back problem, but is poised to make his comeback after finally overcoming the effects of surgery.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho commented: "John Terry is an important player for us. We've missed him and he's been out for a long, long time.

"It's important he's back, especially in a period when we keep losing players.

"We lose some players, we then gain some players and it's important he's available."

Mourinho will be desperate to get Terry back in action as soon as possible, with Khalid Boulahrouz also sidelined, although the Dutchman is also closing on a return after knee trouble.

"Khalid Boulahrouz will train with the group for the first time on Thursday and maybe in one more week he can play," Mourinho added.
