Terry denies spitting claims

Chelsea captain John Terry has denied claims that he spat at Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez during the Champions League Final. Terry was involved in an extra-time shoving match with the Argentina striker in the build-up to Didier Drogba's red card for slapping Nemanja Vidic. The England defender and several team-mates were unhappy that Tevez kicked the ball out of play in an unfavourable position following a break for an injury. But Terry, whose side lost out on penalties after he missed his sudden death spot-kick, has categorically denied claims of spitting. "There was some pushing and shoving, I admit that," he told The Sun. "But no spitting, that is not my style. No way would I spit at another player."
