John Terry is adamant Chelsea are not a club in crisis and believes "staying together and staying confident" will enable them to get their title challenge back on track.
Carlo Ancelotti's men have won just one of their last six games in all competitions and now face a tough run of fixtures with Tottenham first up on Sunday before clashes with Manchester United and Arsenal.
"We're going through a bad spell," the former England captain told the club's official website, www.chelseafc.com. "Man United didn't start too well, Arsenal had a blip and lost at home to teams we wouldn't expect them to, and hopefully this will be the end of our blip otherwise teams are going to pull away."
He added: "We need to go on a good run and now would be the perfect time with Tottenham, Man United and Arsenal coming up it would be ideal for us.
"We've got big players here who are hopefully prepared to rise to the challenge and put their neck on the line."
Despite the recent setbacks, though, Terry insists it should not be all doom and gloom at Stamford Bridge.
"It's not a crisis at all at the moment, we're still in with a shout of the Premier League and we've just topped our Champions League group," he said.
"Early on in the season we were playing very well and if we can get that form back, with other teams slipping up, everyone dropping points, we can pull away from teams again.
"Nothing has changed on the squad basis, it's just about staying together and staying confident
"The players need to realise if we don't start soon we're going to give it away to Man United, who are not playing well at the moment, or to Arsenal, who are not playing well at the moment. I don't think anyone can say they're playing well, the good thing is we're not out of it."
