Terry: Tiredness is no excuse

John Terry does not believe England can use tiredness as an excuse for failure at major championships - either in the past or the future.[LNB] England booked their place at next summer's Euro 2012 finals with a draw against Montenegro on Friday.[LNB]Much of the blame for England's disappointing showing at the 2010 World Cup was put down to burn-out because of the amount of games played in the Premier League.[LNB]However, England captain Terry has rejected that idea.[LNB]"The problem is not about playing too much during the season," Terry told the Daily Mirror.[LNB]"For me, as a player, if you're playing two or three games a week you can get into a rhythm.[LNB]"Where we suffer is that you get to the end of the season and you have two or three weeks off, and then you try to get back into it. You lose that sharpness, that fitness, that touch.[LNB]"I'd like to finish the season and go to the Euros the next day. Everyone's fresh and ready to go the following week.[LNB]"There are a lot of games and there's pressure. That's the world we live in. It's a question of how we deal and cope with that."
