Terry rules out Blues exit

John Terry insists he remains committed to Chelsea and has no desire to leave the club.[LNB] The Blues skipper was strongly linked with Manchester City during the January transfer window, with the Eastlands outfit keen to utilise the Abu Dhabi United war chest to bring in Europe's top talents.[LNB]Suggestions that the England international could yet head to City over the summer have once again come to the fore, with the centre-half said to be 'disillusioned' with life at Stamford Bridge.[LNB]Terry admits that he was made aware of an approach from City during the winter window, but has reiterated his intention to play a major role in helping Chelsea reclaim their standing at the summit of English football in the future.[LNB]"Chelsea told me what had happened with the enquiry as a courtesy," he said.[LNB]"I was very happy with their reaction as mine would have been the same.[LNB]Determined"I have always said that I want to end my career at the club which I love and we all see no reason why that cannot happen.[LNB]"Given recent events I am more determined than ever to make Chelsea successful again."[LNB]Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has also spoken on the matter, revealing that the Blues spurned City's interest out of hand.[LNB]"We made it very clear that John was not for sale," he said.[LNB]"We did not entertain any further conversation on the subject and nor will we in the future. John is our captain and the captain of England.[LNB]"He is part of the heart and soul of Chelsea."[LNB]
