Terry backs Owen to win England return and threaten Chelsea's title bid

England captain John Terry believes Michael Owen has every chance of resurrecting his international career and fears his arrival at Manchester United could seriously damage Chelsea's challenge for the Barclays Premier League title. The 29-year-old joined the champions on a free transfer from Newcastle this summer and has enjoyed a prolific and, so far, injury free pre-season scoring four goals. The former Liverpool striker failed to win a place in Fabio Capello's squad to take on Holland in Amsterdam but Terry is confident that the pair will soon be reunited on the international stage with the World Cup next year in South Africa looming. 'We all know he can finish, we all know he works hard and the qualities he possesses. Can he play in the World Cup - 100 per cent, yes,' he said.
