Taylor nears Crewe loan switch

Crewe boss Dario Gradi will get his first look at Rhys Taylor next week with the Chelsea goalkeeper set to complete a two-month loan move.[LNB] The Alex have been linked with Taylor for the past two weeks, with a deal all but signed and sealed.[LNB]The 20-year-old is due to start the 2010/11 campaign between the sticks while number one Steve Phillips - who on Tuesday penned a two-year deal at Gresty Road - completes his recovery from a double shoulder operation.[LNB]But there is every possibility the Premier League youngster could keep his spot should he prove his worth to Gradi.[LNB]The Alex boss told the club's official website: "I haven't seen the lad from Chelsea yet. He is set to come up next week to start pre-season training, Steve (Holland) and Frank Arnesen have both done great for us. He is available for the Carling Cup, which solves that problem, and they do regard him very highly at Chelsea.[LNB]"I also want another goalkeeper here, possibly a younger one. It would be nice to have three goalkeepers for training purposes, especially with Steve not expected to be back until September."
