Taking the Michael! Liverpool and Man City eye Chelsea starlet Mancienne
Liverpool and Manchester City could be set to battle it out for the signature of Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne in the summer.
The 21-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season and is due to open talks over a new deal when the current campaign ends.
But Mancienne, who joined the Blues at the age of 12, has been frustrated by a lack of first-team opportunities since returning from a loan spell with Wolves in January.

Ricardo Carvlaho's return to fitness should continue to keep Mancienne out of the Chelsea side and, according to The Times, Liverpool and City are prepared to step in and offer him first-team football.
