Shaun Wright-Phillips still thinks that England will be one of the teams to fear at the World Cup finals in Germany despite their current stuttering form.
Sven-Goran Eriksson's side have lacked quality and consistency in this season's games against Denmark, Wales, Northern Ireland and Austria although they have already sealed their place in next summer's tournament.
The Chelsea winger is expected to replace the suspended David Beckham for Wednesday's final group game against Poland, and Wright Phillips insists that although there is little to play for, England will be going all out for the three points.
"We want to be winners, and to be a winner you have to win the group, not just some games," the former Manchester City star told Sky Sports.
"We are going to try and win the group when we play Poland. Whoever is in the squad, in the team, will give it 110 per cent like we did on Saturday.
"Next summer a lot of players will look at the team, and see the names lined up, and that will put us on the front foot in certain places where we go.
"People might have second thoughts about us rather than reading what they read in the papers. It's down to them."
