Striking it rich - football's top ten highest earners are revealed

Credit crunch? What credit crunch? The global financial crisis clearly hasn't had much of an impact on the world's best players if the most recent figures for players' salaries are anything to go by. Barclays Premier League stars John Terry, Frank Lampard and Cristiano Ronaldo are among the top ten best paid footballers on the planet with combined weekly earnings of nearly £500,000-a-week. Money men: Cristiano Ronaldo is among the world's top ten earners, yet his salary is still dwarfed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic's £166,000 per week. But the world's best paid players strut their stuff on the continent. Kaka and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are both paid £166,000-a-week by Milan giants AC and Inter, while Barcelona's Lionel Messi earns just £10,000 less per week.
