Steven Gerrard fears Jermain Defoe might miss the plane to South Africa

Steven Gerrard has lifted the lid on the England squad ahead of the World Cup.[LNB]The Liverpool skipper has revealed Shaun Wright-Phillips and Jermain Defoe love their clothes shopping, Defoe plays golf on plane journeys, Joe Cole is the most skilful player he knows and David Beckham is the smartest player he knows.[LNB]Gerrard makes his claims in this week's Match of the Day Magazine as England got together for their pre-World Cup training camp.[LNB]He said: 'Most of the lads watch movies on the plane, but Jermain likes playingon his PSP - he loves Tiger Woods PGA Tour golf. If you make a badshot, he lets the whole plane know.'[LNB] Looking good: England stars David Beckham and Jermain Defoe[LNB]Spurs striker Defoe is also fashion-conscious, along with Manchester City winger Wright-Phillips, the pair often last on board for away trips.[LNB]Gerrard added: 'We all travel together so there's no chance of anyone missing theflight. But you'll find Wrighty and Defoe running for the plane -they'll be clothes shopping in the airport.'[LNB]Threads play a big part in Beckham's life and look as well, the former England skipper missing the World Cup through injury but Gerrard is still in awe of the Milan and LA Galaxy midfielder.[LNB]He said: 'Becks is always the best-dressed man around. No matter what he wears, he always seems to pull it off. It's such a shame he's injured.'[LNB]But if England are to win the World Cup they might not need to look any further than Cole for inspiration.[LNB]The Chelsea wideman dazzles Gerrard with his skill, leaving the Anfield legend to conclude: 'Joe Cole does some amazing stuff in training.
