Spurs and Arsenal target Pandev signs for Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan

Inter Milan today completed the signing of striker Goran Pandev on a deal until 2014.   Pandev was a free agent after winning his legal battle against Lazio to be released from his contract.  [LNB] A return to Inter - he spent three years at the San Siro without making a senior appearance earlier in his career - always appeared likely to be his next move and the Nerazzurri confirmed the deal early this afternoon.   [LNB]The Macedonia international has penned a four-and-a-half-year deal and is excited about linking up with Jose Mourinho's defending Serie A champions.   [LNB] Fresh start: Pandev has settled his dispute with Lazio[LNB] He told the club's website: 'I am really very happy. My dream wasalways to remain at Inter, but things have gone well nevertheless. Igrew, I became a man, a real player and today I am happy to be here.'[LNB]Pandev joins an Inter squad eight points clear at the Serie A summitalthough closest challengers AC Milan do have a game in hand.   [LNB]He added: "The year has started very well for me. Now we need to winthe Scudetto and do well in the Champions League so we can all behappy.   [LNB]'I hope to contribute a lot, but it is especially important to win,then who gets the goals is a side issue. It is important to give mycontribution to the team. I met my new team-mates and they are alltalented guys.'   [LNB]Lazio were ordered to release Pandev from his contract by the LegaCalcio just before Christmas. He had been at Lazio since 2004 andquickly became a fans' favourite at the Stadio Olimpico.   [LNB]However,matters turned sour last summer when Lazio revealed they would notaccept a bid of less than 19million euros for Pandev after he filed atransfer request.   [LNB]The 26-year-old was branded a 'rebel' by clubpresident Claudio Lotito and frozen out of the squad, as well as beingforced to train separately from his former team-mates.   He was linkedwith several clubs across Europe, including Liverpool, but opted toremain in Italy. [LNB]Chelsea, Liverpool, and West Ham have all been linked with Pandev over the last six months while Tottenham and Arsenal were reported to been keen on landing the 26-year-old this month.
