Speculation increases over David Luiz's Chelsea future

David Luiz moved a step closer to the Chelsea exit door after Brazil's international friendly against England on Sunday night.

The Brazilian star repeatedly refused to speak about his Stamford Bridge future and whether he will be at the club next season.

Versatile Luiz, who played against England on Sunday, is a £35million target for Barcelona and Napoli.

He said: “I really don’t want to talk about my future. At the moment I am only thinking about the national team.”, according to The Sun.

And he bristled when asked if he was looking forward to working with new Chelsea chief Jose Mourinho, adding: “I don’t want to answer that question.”

It is believed that incoming Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, doesn't see a future for the Brazilian star, who's flamboyant displays at centre half have been a concern at times for Chelsea.

However - it is clear to see Luiz has improved in recent weeks, as well as excelling in a defensive midfield role.

It is believed that senior officials at Chelsea Football Club see David Luiz as a future captain at the club, but it is yet to be confirmed what 'The Special One' thinks of Chelsea's number four.
