Feeling blue: Fernando Torres had a tough debut[LNB]Carlo Ancelotti is trying to harness an unbalanced squad while challenging for trophies and entertaining the owner. [LNB]Those who saw Chelsea lose to Liverpool with Fernando Torres, Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka in attack will admit work needs to be done. [LNB]Ancelotti used Drogba and Torres as strikers with Anelka behind them the same plan which worked brilliantly at Sunderland five days earlier when Salomon Kalou played the Torres role. [LNB]Kalou, however, is selfless, willing to go wide and play to Drogba's strengths. [LNB]Against a Liverpool team content to counterattack, Chelsea seemed devoid of ideas and energy. [LNB]Width was supposed to come from Jose Bosingwa and Ashley Cole but they were nullified by Liverpool's wing-backs. [LNB]Imposing change is not easy, especially as Chelsea don't have anyone to play on the right wing, which stops the manager playing 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1. [LNB]Ancelotti can persevere with his new 4-3-1-2 formation and hope his players adjust or return to 4-3-3 and make a choice between Torres and Drogba.[LNB]4-3-1-2: Cech; Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole; Essien, Luiz, Lampard; Anelka; Drogba, Torres.[LNB]4-3-3: Cech; Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole; Essien, Mikel, Feeling blue: Torres Lampard; Anelka, Torres, Malouda.[LNB] Six diabolical debuts: From Rio Ferdinand's Leeds bow to Jonathan Woodgate's first Bernabeu outingReds have not ruined it! ?50m man Torres confident Chelsea can win titleAll the latest Chelsea news, features and opinion [LNB]  Explore more:People: Jose Bosingwa, Fernando Torres, Nicolas Anelka, Didier Drogba, Ashley Cole, Carlo Ancelotti Places: Liverpool
