AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has ruled out the possibility of Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko returning to the San Siro.
Quotes attributed to Milan president Silvio Berlusconi over the weekend suggested the Ukraine international was keen to return to the Rossoneri, but Galliani has scotched such talk.
"It is technically impossible," he said.
"Shevchenko is a non-European player and his (non-European) spot has been taken by Ricardo Oliveira, full stop.
"The president thinks ahead to the future and speaks about feelings but he doesn't look at the acquisitions.
"Hence, there's no point in remembering the rest, that Sheva is a Chelsea player, that they paid lots of millions for him and that he made a life choice, etc."
Shevchenko has struggled to settle at Stamford Bridge following his £30million summer move although he did find the net in Saturday's 4-0 victory against Watford.
