Sheva plans Blues stay

Out of favour Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko insists he plans to stay at Stamford Bridge this season. Shevchenko has been tipped to leave Chelsea this summer after returning to the club after an unsuccessful loan spell at former club AC Milan last term. The Ukraine international arrived in England from Milan in 2006 but has failed to hit the heights in West London. Shevchenko, who was not even on the bench for last weekend's Community Shield clash with Manchester United, is thought to have rejected the chance to return to former club Dynamo Kiev. "I still have a year left on my contract with Chelsea and I want to stay in London until it expires," Shevchenko is quoted as saying in the Daily Star. "Only God knows what's going to happen then."
