Sessegnon rumours quashed

Stephane Sessegnon's agent has reiterated his belief that his client will remain at Paris St Germain this summer. The Benin international is reported to be a potential transfer target for Chelsea, with the Blues believed to have watched him in action on a number of occasions this season. However, having only joined PSG from Le Mans last year, the 24-year-old looks to be staying put for now. His representative, Rudy Raba, insists Sessegnon is happy in the French capital and expects the African ace to remain at Parc des Princes for the foreseeable future. "PSG chairman Mr (Sebastien) Bazin has told me that Stephane will not be quitting the club at the end of the season," Raba told L'Equipe. "The club wishes to keep their best players and Stephane feels at ease in Paris. He is happy and has no desire to leave. "When he signed, he intended to stay here for at least two years. But, we will see if PSG get a nice proposition in the next few weeks." PSG's sporting director Alain Roche is not expecting a bid to be forthcoming, with the global recession restricting the financial capabilities of many clubs in the transfer market. "Stephane Sessegnon has only just arrived and he will be staying," said Roche. "We want to be very clear and firm on this. He is a key player for our team. "I can't see any club finding the fee required (reported to be around £15million). It is a difficult period for everyone, even the English clubs, except Manchester City. "Once again we will be doing all we can to keep him."
