Sergio Aguero could cost Manchester United £77m

Sergio Aguero has been offered a new three-year deal to stay at Atletico Madrid, increasing his buyout clause to £77m in an effort to ward off interest from Manchester United and mega rich rivals City.[LNB]The highly-rated Argentine attacker has been linked with a move away from the Europa League winners with Chelsea and Real Madrid also said to bee keen.[LNB] On the move: Sergio Aguero is one of the most wanted stars in the world but Atletico Madrid are confident the Argentine will stay[LNB]Although his current contract has two years left to run, Atletico fear they could lose the 21-year-old this summer if his £51m release fee is triggered.[LNB]Even if he does stay, the club could suffer a major loss if Arguero doesn't agree to an extension on his existing deal and leaves instead for a knock-down price next year.[LNB]According to Spanish daily AS, Atletico are hopeful they can tempt Aguero with a new contract - which would include the new 90million euro sell-on fee.[LNB] In it together: Aguero embraces Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez after Argentina's World Cup warm-up win over Canada[LNB]Atletico president Enrique Cerezo is confident Aguero will stay put in Madrid.[LNB]'He has a contract with us, we want him to stay and he is happy here,' Cerezo told the club's official website.[LNB]'Only if someone comes in to pay his buy-out clause would we then have to see what he decides.
