There were no real punts in there – an away win for Cardiff at Wigan at 23/10 was the longest shot – but they all added up to a massive pay day for Lumsdon. Satisfyingly for Chelsea fan Lumsdon, Manchester City’s defeat against Barcelona was one of the matches that helped him secure his jackpot.
Oh to be so lucky – or so astute. Even bookies Betfair were impressed.
