Scolari praised by Ballack
14 Jun 2008 - 12:35:33
Chelsea midfield ace Michael Ballack believes that news Blues manager Luiz Felipe Scolari will command instant respect among the star-studded Stamford Bridge squad.
The Germany international admits that he doesn't know the Brazilian tactician too well, but believes that Scolari will be a success with Chelsea.
Balalck commented: "I don't know him yet apart from the odd hello, but he has done very well and he has all the credentials.
"He has won a lot of titles, was in the last European Championship final with Portugal and won the World Cup with Brazil, so he is very successful.
"He is definitely a man to be respected by all the players."
Meanwhile, Blues striker Didier Drogba has pledged his future to the club, having been linked with a move to Internazionale to join up with former Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho.
He told Sky Sports: "I have a contract with Chelsea until 2010, so I am still a Chelsea player.
"Jose Mourinho is my friend and I am happy for him because he was missing coaching. He is a top coach but, like I said, my contract here runs until 2010."
