Sawyer sent home by Southend

Southend United have dropped on-loan midfielder Lee Sawyer for the League One game with Carlisle after he failed to attend a pre-match team meeting.The 20-year-old Chelsea player has made nine appearances for United this season, although eight of them have been from the bench. A club statement read: "Lee was sent home from training on Thursday for another breach of club discipline. "The club will make no further comment on this matter at this time."
