Robben happy at Chelsea

Arjen Robben insists he is pleased to be starting the new season with Chelsea after a summer of speculation about his future.

The Netherlands winger was one of a number of players that Ramon Calderon promised to sign during Real Madrid's presidential elections.

Calderon duly won the vote, only to find Chelsea unwilling to consider selling the 22-year-old.

Robben is delighted the Blues decided to hang on to him and is now looking forward to playing alongside Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack.

He told Sky Sports News: "I think the new players who have come in have a lot of qualities which is great for our team, so I'm really looking forward to playing with all of them.

"There are also the players who stayed and I think we just have a very good team. I'm just very happy to be here and to be involved in such a great team."
