Robben - Blues will struggle

[LNB] Fifa have announced that the Blues will be unable to operate in the transfer market for the next two windows as a result of a complaint from French side Lens regarding the signing of Gael Kakuta in 2007.[LNB]It was ruled that Chelsea broke rules in bringing the young midfielder to Stamford Bridge and they have now been banned from transfer activity and fined, with the Premier League side planning to appeal.[LNB]Robben, who played for the Blues between 2004 and 2007 before moving to Real Madrid and then Bayern Munich, feels sympathy for his former employers and acknowledges they could find it tough to rival big-spending opponents. [LNB]He told Sky Sports News: "It is very bad news for the club. It is still my club in England. I had a great time there so I am feeling very sorry for them."[LNB]When asked if Chelsea could struggle to compete, Robben added: "Yes. It is a two-year ban and they cannot buy any new players. But they have a great squad."[LNB]
