Drogba later scored the goal that earned Chelsea a 2-2 draw and 3-2 aggregate victory, but the Chelsea manager claimed that technology was in place 20 years ago to solve such situations and that advances now mean it is inexcusable not to use it to aid referees. [LNB]"The time is right for technology; it must be used in these situations," Hiddink said. "If it was there, it would not be a dispute." "We did it in my very early days at PSV, in the 1980s, with Philips, and it worked out really well. But the people who were deciding didn't want to know, and that was 20 years ago. Now I think the technology is so perfect that, for me, it must be done." [LNB]Chelsea conceded a penalty which brought Juventus back into the game, when Juliano Belletti was penalised for handball, and Hiddink said: "There was a strange situation with the penalty. I didn't see it, but I was told the hand was going up to the ball and so it might be a penalty. We have to be fair and recognise that. [LNB]"But the team kept on playing, reacted and we made that beautiful goal through Belletti and Drogba. Then it was over." [LNB]Hiddink also praised his team, unbeaten in six games since he took over, for their patience and discipline, despite the erratic referee. While delighted with the contribution of Drogba, he also hailed Nicolas Anelka and Michael Essien. [LNB]"Anelka, after not having trained much, did his job, tactically, very well," Hiddink said. "He was always occupying two defenders, the right-back and the right central defender. He did very well tactically and defensively. It was a very good job." [LNB]
