Reality Cech! Even Hiddink won't give Chelsea keeper a vote of confidence

Guus Hiddink referred to it as a crisis of confidence, a spell of self-doubt from his goalkeeper that is beginning to threaten Chelsea's ambitions at home and abroad. Forgiven for the defensive lapses against Bolton last Saturday, when he conceded three and almost an embarrassing fourth in the final minute, Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech was humiliated by Fabio Aurelio's free-kick in the frenzied 4-4 draw with Liverpool on Tuesday night. Whoops, I did it again: Petr Cech watches another goal fly past him during Tuesday night's Champions League epic against Liverpool. 'You can see he isn't at full confidence, but a keeper has the right not to have a big performance every once in while,' admitted Hiddink in the moments after that amazing Champions League quarter-final second leg. 'Did he really say that?' asked Cech when he emerged from the tunnel late after the game. He was rattled, in the same way he was roughed up by Bolton's looping balls into his penalty area last weekend, which undermined his confidence ahead of another show-stopper at Stamford Bridge 'I have not made two mistakes in successive games since I have been at Chelsea but when you win a game, even if you make an error, it is a good sign,' insisted Cech.
